Georgia Hoover, 100, Harrodsburg, KY, widow of Edgar F. Hoover, died Monday at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg. Born August 24, 1914, in Harrodsburg, KY, she was the daughter of the late Garland Wesley and Letha Poulter Sims.
She was the retired Owner/Operator of the former Hoover Food Store and a member of Harrodsburg Christian Church.
Georgia is survived by: Niece: Terry Campbell of Louisville, KY; Nephews: John and Jeff Sims, both of Harrodsburg; Several Great Nieces and Nephews. Georgia was preceded in death by her Brothers: Barry and Wesley Sims and Sister: Anna Lee Manning.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 18, 2015, starting at 11, leading up to service at 2:00 pm at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Mego Haralu. Burial will follow in the Bellevue Cemetery, Danville.
The family request memorial donations be sent to Harrodsburg Christian Church, 305 South Main Street, Harrodsburg, KY 40330.
