I was privileged to know Mrs. Jones first as my sophomore English teacher. She "opened the door" for me to the literature of the world. When my sister married Tom Jones, I then had the good fortune of becoming "family" to the great Jones clan. We've shared in many celebrations and sadnesses with that family, and today, although we cannot be there in person, we share in this last celebration of a life well-lived. We will miss her. We send love to you all.

Betty and family,
I'm sorry I couldn't make Mrs. Jones visitation due to needing to be in Richmond for Robbie Phelps visitation. I'm so sorry about the passing of your beloved mother/grandmother. I would have loved to see all of you, but so often things in life overlap and we just can't do it all. I wanted to come to her 100th birthday party, but that didn't work out either. Anyway, what a long and blessed life she had and a wonderful, loving and caring family she leaves behind. Blessings to you all.

I'm so sorry to hear about Mrs. Jone's passing. She was my second grade teacher at Salvisa Elementary School back around 1965 or 66. I always remember her starting the day out singing a hymn....May she rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of Mrs. Jones' passing. What a long and productive life she had! I was a neighbor for years to Sid, Esther and Lee Webb and witnessed the tremendous positive impact she had on her family. She was greatly admired, loved and respected--there is no greater legacy that one can hope to leave behind than that!
