Ruth Ann, Caleb, his brothers and sister, I am so sorry Bill is gone. I know how much you loved and will miss him. Know this too, we loved him like a brother. He traveled with us many times growing up. From Florida to New York, to Europe and Israel, and cruising the Caribbean. I was going through mom and dad’s photos and there were so many of Bill, it reminded me how much fun we had with him and how much mom and dad loved traveling and going on all those cruises with him. I’ll never forget the fishing trips we had when visiting Aunt Eula and Uncle Bill in Florida. It was always a comedic adventure, one Bill would share at dinner to everyone’s delight. We loved Bill’s quick wit and subtle humor, we will all miss it and him.

Bill was my cousin and he was beloved of my family--especially my mom and dad. Bill took short trips with us, humored us, and even sang for us. His Wilson cousins loved his humorous rendition of "I'm Henry the VIII I Am" that was recorded by Herman's Hermits in the 1960s. He loved practical jokes (they were never cruel), and these were enjoyed by our family. One time when I was not paying attention to the conversation around the table after a meal because I was reading a book, he waited until I went to get a drink and hid it. I searched for ten minutes for it thinking I had simply misplaced it. Bill only produced it after I had joined the conversation. My parents laughed throughout the whole experience, and I only returned to the book after Bill left us that night. Another time he marvelled at my little brother who could ride a unicycle at a very early age. He told my mother, his Aunt Garnetta, "You know, if this kid can develop a sense of humor (even when little my brother was very serious), he would make a good circus clown." He will be missed. The Almighty will appreciate his humor.
