Obituary of Kathy Smith
Kathy Smith, 57, Harrodsburg, wife of John Keith Smith, died Saturday, March 2, 2019, at her home.
Born February 4, 1962, in Boyle Co., she was the daughter of the late J. L. Walker and Vernetta (Harley) Walker, Harrodsburg. She had an Associate Degree in Medical Assisting, and was a retired receptionist for Edward Ritchie, DMD, and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. Following her cancer diagnosis, Kathy worked to raise money and awareness for Relay For Life through her team, Kathy's Fight. She enjoyed crafts, fishing with family, traveling, and spending time with her dogs, Khloe and Luna. She also enjoyed shopping and pedicures with her daughter-in-law, Kamri.
Survivors other than her husband and mother include: two sons, Jordan Smith and Logan (Kamri) Smith, both of Harrodsburg; one brother, Mark (Debbie) Walker of Harrodsburg; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be 1 PM Thurs., March 7, 2019, by Daniel Smith. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Visitation will be 5 - 8 PM Wednesday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
Pallbearers are Garnett Ruble, Wade McKinley, Bill Rogers, Alex Jenson IV, Steve Tindall, and Justin Stocker. Honorary bearers are Larry Yeager and Skip Stocker.
Memorials are suggested to Relay For Life.
