I met Darrell a very long time ago. He was one of the owners at Shear Pleasure, he and the other owner offered to rent me a booth and help me build my clientele. Darrell was full of laughter and wisdom, he truly loved and cared about every person in his life and offered help unselfishly. Knowing Darrell, Working In the Salon, being a part of the Shear Pleasure Family were some of the happiest memories of my life. You will never be forgotten Darrell, I love you.

I was so sad to hear of Darrell’s passing. He was one of the kindest and funniest people I had ever met. I will miss getting to talk and laugh with him. He was one of a kind and he will be missed terribly by all who knew and loved him. I would like to offer my deepest condolences to his mother Joyce, his sister-in-law Barbara and to all of his other family members who are dealing with this devastating loss. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

We don’t get the paper and I just learned of Darrell’s passing. Darrell was such a special person-one of the kindest, always seeing the positive, and caring. He was not only my hairdresser but also a beloved friend. I’m glad your pain is over and you are reunited with your Bobby, but you will be greatly missed by all who knew you. I will never forget you .

I found out today that Darrell had passed away. I told Darrell that he is my brother since I have known him for over 30 years. Darrell was my hairdresser, as well as my mother's and my daughter's. We would always have fun while he did his magic on my hair. We talked about everything and didn't hold back with each other. He was a kind and compassionate man that I will truly miss.
I am so sorry to hear about Darrell and hope you will find comfort that he is no longer in pain and is with God.

Our hearts are saddened by learning Darrell has departed. Just this week, especially Wednesday, he was on my mind and on our way home from work we went by his house. The Harrodsburg Historical Society has so appreciated his and Bobby's generosity in sharing their home for the Homes Tour and Darrell's contribution as a Patron over the years. It wasn't until this evening long after his visitation was over that I opened the Danville paper and read of his passing. We are unable to attend his funeral as our family will be celebrating Easter with us here, but we extend our love and prayers to his family.

We rejoice in the life of Darrell Dickerson and are thankful to have known him. I remember Darrell's comment that this illness he was struck with was a win-win situation for him. Either he would be cured or he would go to heaven and be at peace . We will miss Darrell but are glad he is now at peace with no pain. He was a kind and generous person.

Lighting a candle for Darrell is so appropriate because he had the ability to light up a room when en entered it. His humor and graciousness also brought joy to so many. When we sang together in the choir at HCC, I would find myself stop singing just so I could listen to Darrell’s beautiful voice. He will be missed by so many friends. He and Bobby were both uplifting people in spirit and action. I will not be in attendance at the visitation and services since I am out of state but I want the family to know how much he was loved by his church family. May your memories of him bring comfort to his family and all who loved him including myself.

I will always think of Darrell's sense of humor and his love for the Church when I think of him. Many funny and happy times remembered. The funniest being the time we went thru the drive thru at Lee's and he was laughing so hard he dropped a box of chicken on the ground. He was a kind soul.
