When I was a teenager, I spent about half of my time with Nancy at the Cole's house on College St. Mr. and Mrs. Cole were both lovely to me. I don't remember Harrodsburg without thinking of them. This specific moment took place on New Year's Eve sometime in the late 60s. Nancy and I were still up around 12:30am when we heard her parents arrive home after attending a party. They were all dressed up, and Mr. Cole had on a suit and a hat. They came in laughing and telling stories from the party, and Mr. Cole kept saying, "I'm just going to stay in these clothes so I'll be ready for the undertaker if he shows up tonight." I can still picture the four of us sitting in the living room of that house, and Nancy and I still laugh about that incident. He was so funny and quick with a quip. We coined the name, Don the Juan, for him, and even today we still call him that. So Don the Juan, the undertaker finally showed up about fifty years after that night, and I'm sure many friends are remembering your dry wit. You are dearly loved by your daughters and others who passed through your life. Love to all and wish I could be there, Fox

Mr. Cole was a gracious, kind, and humorous man. I enjoyed all the talks we had when I would take him his Avon . Prayers to Donna, Marguerite and Nancy and their families.
