James White Sprague, 73, Harrodsburg, KY, husband of Shirley Paulson Sprague, died Monday, October 25, 2021, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. Born July 15, 1948, in Anderson , IN, he was the son of the late James R. and Helen (White) Sprague. Jim retired after 32 years as a Science Teacher at Perryville Elementary School. Jim and Shirley own and operate the Beehive Gifts in Harrodsburg. In addition to his love for teaching, he also was an animal lover, avid fisherman and traveler. He also enjoyed being a part of local productions at Ragged Edge Theater and The Carpenters Christian Church, of which he was a member. Other survivors include: a daughter: Laurie (Lee) Readnower and two sons: John (Brandy) Sprague and James M. (Margaret Jean) Sprague, all of Harrodsburg; one sister: Marthann Walker of Phoenix, AZ; he also has eight grandchildren, Aaron (Casey) Bee, Jessica Bee, Emily (Kaleb) Johnson, John Tyler (Maegan) Rayburn, Audrey Conley, Scott Anthony Sprague, Dwayne (Latisha) Johnson and Jaimie (Chase) Littral; seven great-grandchildren: Jane Porter, Ava Conley, Abel Conley, Oaklyn Bee, Cameron Rayburn, Emerson Littral, Dylan Johnson Visitation will be 11 am - 2 pm Friday; October 29 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Funeral services will be conducted by Greg Warren at 2 pm. Private burial will take place at the Spring Hill Cemetery.
