Lila Mae Harley Peavler, 91, Harrodsburg, KY, widow of Lawrence Boyd Peavler, following 62 years of marriage, died Sunday, April 2, 2023, at the Harrodsburg Health & Rehabilitation Center in Harrodsburg. Born May 29, 1931, in Washington County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Rachel (Pinkston) Harley. She was a retired Press Operator for Mercer Dress Corporation, and was a member of the Ladies Garment Workers Union. She was a long-time member of the Pioneer Baptist Church where she was a member of the WMU, the Jubilee Group and served on the kitchen committee. Mae loved her flowers and pets and was well-known for her stack pies at Christmas. Survivors include: one daughter: Brenda Hinkle (Bobby) of Danville, KY; one son: David Lawrence Peavler (Cindy) of Harrodsburg, KY; one sister: Betty Rogers of Harrodsburg, KY; three grandchildren, Scott Peavler of Harrodsburg, KY, Brad Hinkle (Leeann) of Danville, KY and Brooke Ballard (Hunter) of Bardstown, KY; seven great grandchildren, Eric Peavler, Angelia Peavler (Zach), Madisen Hinkle, Tripp, Brant, Lila and Lainey Ballard; four great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Lonnie Harley. Funeral services will be 1 PM, Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Brad King and Steven Dresen. Burial will follow in Bethel Baptist Cemetery, Harrodsburg, KY. Visitation will be from 10 am - 1 pm Wednesday, also at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Pall bearers are: Brad Hinkle, Kent Rogers, Paul Harley, Butch Merchant, John Gumm, Harry Harmon and Kevin Isham. Honorary Bearers are: Jack Atwell, David Cinnamon, Chris Cornish, Brent Steele, Terry Steele, Hunter Ballard, Eric Harley, the Pioneer Baptist Jubilee Group, and her Sunday School Class.
