Norvie Lay, age 83, of Louisville died Friday, April 12, 2024 at Episcopal Church Home of Louisville, KY. Dr. Lay was born April 17, 1940 in Washington County to the late Arlie and the late Opha (Burns) Lay. He is the widower of Gretchen Lay.

Norvie was a Law Professor at the University of Louisville Law School and a member of Broadway Baptist Church of Louisville, and previous member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Harrodsburg.

He is survived by one daughter: Leaanne (Patrick) Sullivan of Tinley Park, IL and two grandchildren; Patrick Sullivan; and Anna Sullivan.

Visitation will be Noon-1:00 PM Monday, April 15 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, 345 E. Lexington St., Harrodsburg, KY. A graveside service will be held 1:30 pm on Monday at Spring Hill Cemetery, 529 Greenville St, Harrodsburg, KY with James Harley officiating. Burial to follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
