Honorable Jeffrey L. "Jeff" Dotson, age 59, of Harrodsburg, KY, husband of Christine “Chris” L. Batterton Dotson, died Saturday, September 28, 2024 at UK Medical Center, Lexington, KY. Born March 27, 1965, in Jenkins, KY, he is the son of Roger and Barbara (Bellamy) Dotson, Salvisa, KY. Jeff was a member of the Harrodsburg Christian Church, a graduate of East Tennessee State Univ. and earned his Juris Doctorate from the U of L Brandeis School of Law. He had a private law practice in Harrodsburg from 1995 until 2003. Jeff was elected District Court Judge for Mercer Co. & Boyle Co., serving from 2003 until 2022, at which time he became the Judge for the 50th Judicial Circuit, Division 1. Judge Dotson was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed sharing these passions with his son, Jack. Survivors include: his wife, Christine L. (Batterton) Dotson, Harrodsburg; one son, Jack Montgomery Dotson, Harrodsburg; his parents, Roger and Barbara Dotson, Salvisa. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4 PM until 7 PM, Monday, Oct. 7, 2024, at the Greystone House, Beaumont Inn, 618 Beaumont Inn Dr, Harrodsburg, KY. Memorials are suggested to KODA, 10301 Linn Station Road, Louisville, KY 40223, or to a charity of one’s choice.
